Rules for Wiki Discussion Posts
1. Please, no personal information, such as: your first or last name, home phone number or home address, your family name, password, user name, email address, school name, city, country or other information that could help someone locate or contact you in person.
2. Be cautious about email messages (discussion comments) from anyone asking you for detailed personal information or attempting to arrange secret meetings. Talk to your teacher or parent immediately if this kind of situation arises.
3. Do not link to your personal blog/journal from your wiki discussion post; you might reveal information on there that you don’t want to reveal on the cluster wiki.
4. If you want to write your opinion on a topic, make sure you’re not going to be offensive as you write it.
5. Always make sure you check over your post for spelling errors, grammar errors, and your use of words. Paste your post in a word processor and run spellcheck, or download a spellchecker for your browser.
6. Never disrespect someone else in your post, whether it’s a person, an organization, or just a general idea. You don’t want someone making a stab at what you are passionate about; don’t do it to someone else.
7. Don’t write about other people without permission; if you can’t get their permission, use first names only. Never share someone else’s last name.
8. Treat this wiki as a classroom space. Speech that is inappropriate for class is not appropriate for this wiki. You are expected to conduct yourself in a manner reflective of a representative of this school.
9. You may share your interests, ideas, and preferences. Please do not post untrue statements about others.
10. Keep it education-oriented. That means that you probably shouldn’t discuss your plans for the weekend, the last dance etc.
